* Process for selecting NB LINEAR SYSTEM
In order to select the optimal NB product for your system, it is necessary to check and calculate about various conditions in your system. Please select optimal NB product according to the following procedures.

1 Determine the application conditions
Please check each conditions of the part(The machine, an environment, the attachment method, a stroke, load, speed, and accuracy, and so on) which applies NB product.
2 Decide system shape
 Please decide the linear system suitable for a customer's operating condition out of NB products.

3 Pre-select the size and number of linear systems
 In consideration of the balance of machines and equipments or the numerical value calculated on experience, Please carry out Pre-selection of the size and the number of linear systems.
4 Calculate load
 Next, please calculate the load applied linear systems.
Moreover, when the load is not fixed, please also calculate average applied load.

5 Determine static load
After determining a static safety facor, please check the load (No.4), rated basic dynamic load and allowable static moment in a pre-selection linear systems.
* When neither a point to be checked nor a calculation result fulfills conditions in this stage, it is necessary to return to [2:Decide system shape] and to do selection again.

6 Compute life
Checking Hardness Coefficient, Temperature Coefficient, Contact Coefficient and Applied Contact, please compute the life in cosideration of the load (No.4) and rated basic dynamic load (Pre-selection).
* When conditions are not fulfilled as compared with [1:Determine the application conditions], it is necessary to return to [2:Decide system shape] or [3:Pre-select the size and number of linear systems] and to do selection again.

7 Determine pre-load and accuracy
With reference to product manual of pre-selection, please decide the optimal Pre-Load and Accuracy for the operating condition.
* When neither a point to be checked nor a calculation result fulfills conditions in this stage, it is necessary to return to [2:Decide system shape] or [3:Pre-select the size and number of linear systems] and to do selection again.

8 Select lubrication and dust prevention method
With reference to product manual of pre-selection, please select the lubricous method,  protection-against-dust measures ( seal / bellows ) and surface treatment in the operating condition (No. 1).

9 Confirm the clearance needed around the equipment
With reference to product manual of pre-selection, please check a surrounding space and the attachment method in consideration of the size of a machine or maintenance work.
* When neither a point to be checked nor a calculation result fulfills conditions in this stage, it is necessary to return to [2:Decide system shape] or [3:Pre-select the size and number of linear systems] and to do selection again.
 Thus, selection of Linear System finishes.
